So say a suspect is running to his vehicle, and reaching under his seat. Cop should wait to see if he's offering a Tic Tac or grabbing a gun?
That's an extreme example and you know that is not representative of the scenarios I'm referring to - where the cop decides to strike first, because he can.

Tuhl making his comment about Usdk being suited for police work was stupid. If you strike anyone pre-emptively, that person can defend themselves with reasonably justified force, usually only if they are still a threat.
Comment is absolutely justified.
If you're a small and insecure person attracted to the life of a cop because you want to be a badass, you're going to behave like the person you are, which is being an overgrown schoolyard bully and starting fights when you think you can get away with it then acting like a pussy...backtracking with all kinds of inane rationalizations when you take on someone (i.e., a lawyer) who can deal with you on even ground...or
when you step just past the comfort zone that chip on your shoulder gives you, and suddenly have to take responsibility for your own actions. Usd is pretty typical in this regards.
Every bully is also a coward. If you go out looking for a fight, you'll probably find one.
