whatsyourprice.com

It was Simone's idea, actually. Did get a few hits out of it. But the overall chance of getting a useful piece of equipment is very low, most of them are stereotypes of various sorts.

Holy shit that was a fantastic read Aestu. And yes, it figures that's exactly the type of bitch (before Tuhl calls me unclassy...I don't mean to demean all women, just bitchy entitled ones) who would be on such a site.

Strange how you'll run into a few of those types even on a site like eharmony. Though I've had mostly pleasant dates with women that just didn't end up working out for one reason or another.

Edit: I'm now actually intrigued by this site. Part of me wants to set up a date just for entertainment value. The problem is, I know I could never genuinely like/respect a woman who would sign up for such a site. At least eharmony they are paying for the service and the idea is "i'm trying to meet someone and have a relationship" not just "pay me to hang out with me"

I'm a bit more interested in the bottles, but yes, those are some nice placemats.

Conversation on 2/4/2012 (into 2/5/2012) while consuming one bottle with close companions:

Her: "I still love that pi-mp shirt. It's you."
Me: "Thank you."
Her: "I want one!"
Me: "Tshirthell discontinued it"
Her: " :( "
Me: "Or you can just hope they bring it back in the next few days..."
Her: "... ok :)"

Also, what did you expect to find on a site like that, Aestu?

Quote:
WhatsYourPrice.com intrigued me from the very start because of all the hype it’s gotten since it was launched by the same people from SeekingArrangement.com. What’s got people’s panties in a twist over this new sugar daddy dating site? Well, it’s probably the blatant honesty that’s freakin’ everyone out. This doesn’t work like your average dating site where you register and then pay a membership to get the most from the service. The deal here is that you offer payment to the people that you want to date and if your offer is accepted, then you get to arrange your first date with that person. We all know that a sugar daddy-sugar baby relationship is based around money. The sugar baby is rewarded financially for the time she devotes to her sugar daddy, but for some reason putting it out there with tag lines like “For the Generous – Date beautiful people – Guaranteed” and “For the Attractive – Get Paid for Dating – Guaranteed”, has got some people upset. Well, I say kudos for the honesty and clarity! This honest and real approach is the same reason why I appreciated their other site in the first place so how can I not marvel at the fact that WhatsYourPrice.com takes it a step further?

Not to threadjack, but cops are bound by the same rules, at least on paper.

You may use force to the degree it is necessary to protect yourself. The line becomes cloudy when people have disagreements of what is necessary vs what is excessive.

Nope. Cops can hit people pre-emptively.

Yes but we are talking about self-defense from Usdk's comment about 'if you strike someone' blah blah prepare to get handled, etc.

Then the defining characteristic of self-defense vacillates. Also, your word against the cop, the court will go with the cop every time.

So say a suspect is running to his vehicle, and reaching under his seat. Cop should wait to see if he's offering a Tic Tac or grabbing a gun?

I realize the courts are skewed and side with police 9/10 times. That's why I said 'bound by the same rules on paper'

Tuhl making his comment about Usdk being suited for police work was stupid. If you strike anyone pre-emptively, that person can defend themselves with reasonably justified force, usually only if they are still a threat.

That's an extreme example and you know that is not representative of the scenarios I'm referring to - where the cop decides to strike first, because he can.

Comment is absolutely justified.

If you're a small and insecure person attracted to the life of a cop because you want to be a badass, you're going to behave like the person you are, which is being an overgrown schoolyard bully and starting fights when you think you can get away with it then acting like a pussy...backtracking with all kinds of inane rationalizations when you take on someone (i.e., a lawyer) who can deal with you on even ground...or when you step just past the comfort zone that chip on your shoulder gives you, and suddenly have to take responsibility for your own actions.

Usd is pretty typical in this regards.

Every bully is also a coward. If you go out looking for a fight, you'll probably find one.

Way to make this about cops with bringing pre-emptive assault into play.

Everyone can get hit
Everyone can hit back

Whether it holds up all the time, no, it won't. There are rules for self defense, some clear, some not quite so clear. Some states have clauses that determine you need to make a reasonable attempt to flee an attacker, some allow you to strike back regardless until the threat is gone.

If I punch you once, and then stop and begin to walk away, you have no legal right to defend yourself. We're not talking about cops, we're talking about people in general.

This isn't true. If I have a reasonable belief that you are going to do harm to me I can defend myself. If I believe you are walking away to get a weapon, I am allowed to defend myself. I do not have to wait until you get the weapon.

It varies by state, but in PA there aren't a lot of hard rules about self-defense. It hinges on whether the person made a reasonable judgement on their safety, which means convincing the jury of the defendant's state of mind and perception of the attacker.
