Let me start off my saying that this is never funny.
More relevantly, some friends of mine that were in Usual Suspects up until very recently have never said a positive thing about you, and I'm to understand that your first break from Usual Suspects wasn't a conscious decision on your part. If you're not good enough for them, why are you good enough for us?

You talk a lot about performance and motivation. Yet I struggle to understand your gem choices. Why gem your pants that way? Why do you put a binary gem in a belt buckle? Why split the difference - why not go all agility or all crit? Isn't Greatness a BiS or nearly for hunters, better than what you have? Why not invest?
You talk about IRL friends again and again in your app. But this is not a social guild where members are invited on a Facebook basis...this is a high end raiding guild whose members are chosen on merit. If the best foot you can put forward is that you are buddies with so-and-such IRL, how do you think that reflects upon you?
If you want to hang out with your real life friends, why not just make a private chat channel and run instances with them outside raids?

First of all, gemming a socket for yellow with 10agi/10crit isn't a bad choice as long as the socket bonus yields a similar or higher result from gemming yellow or prismatic. 6agi/8agi 12AP or higher as long as its not dual yellow or raw blue only as your choices for gem slots. But going with agi/stam is less beneficial than 10 All Stats as your "blue" choice. Second, you should really spec marks because most raids have 2 or more replenishment specs/classes. Also previously said, you are rocked 2 terrible trinkets. You could buy 1 trinket for 3-4k that will last you quite a while, and you could farm the scorpion from H-FoS everyday. Both of which are leagues better than your current setup. You are also almost 100hit over cap, not really sure why? Next, i looked at your dps posting and it seems incredibly low for those boss fights, as im sure its because you are survival, but it just seems low compared to what im used to seeing from our hunters. Lastly, do not name people to vouch for you when the have less than 2% pull in the guild. (no offense to triplekiss or zachhhhh) But i would like to hear more about what Tuhl speaks about U.S. and your departure from them.

At no point since her return has she once complained or questioned our raiding until last night due to her being yelled at upon failing Trample on Northrend Beasts 25H a few times in a row.
All I'm gonna do is quote and reply to her, as I feel what she's saying could easily have been mentioned to any Officer in the guild (myself included) and that it's quite unfair/untrue.

There is plenty to learn about your class no matter how geared you are, I know for a fact I don't play my class to its full potential, and I have no one in the guild to base my DPS on being the only Feral - yet I learn new things every day by browsing, trying new rotations, new gems, etc.
There's no/have never been any "class leaders" - and if you're referring to Shoopdawhoop, he's on hiatus due to financial trouble.
If you felt we had nothing to offer you, the least you could do is discuss it with us instead of go ahead and do this behind our backs.

Again, this is the only time I've ever heard this until last night when you got upset due to dying to the same mechanic. You're assigned very little to do in raid unless it's simple MD'ing or laying down frost traps on Saurfang. I have never recieved a tell from you asking for help on raids, or your assignments.
If you find it difficult to do those things, I'm not sure how you think you'd fit in here at Tempest.
Any time you approached me for help with guild issues you had I *always* helped the best I could, and this is why you aggravated the crap out of me by doing this without saying a word.

You are correct in stating that Tempest is the top of the food chain but that means we dont "train" people. People that come to us should know how to maximize their specs, gear, and rotation to get every bit of healing, dps, etc out of their class. People learn these skills in "feeder" guilds and by the time they get to us, they should be at the top of their game and need little training or hand holding.

You have not heard the full story then because I personally will rip male and female guild members alike a new asshole if they do stupid shit that shouldnt be happening. I have and will continue to hurt people's feelings when I think their performance is substandard. Fun for us is killing new bosses and getting server firsts, not wiping or playing like shit. That is what makes us the best - we take raids really fucking serious and people that dont get on board with that philosophy will have short stays.
TLDR: We do not have space for a mediocre hunter that needs advice on how to do better dps and I dont think you would be a good fit in Tempest even if you didnt.

To answer this, I'm curious as to who told you my first break from Usual Suspects was not a conscious decision as it was, in fact, MY decision. I could get into the nitty-gritty (sp?) but, for the most part, I consciously decided to cease playing the game because it had become unpleasant, stressful, and upsetting to log on every day when I was already stressed and spread thin from working 40 hours a week (which I do not do during the semester anymore) and taking very vigorous courses. I wanted to devote myself to that instead of WoW, which I cannot find anyone who believes that is not a respectable reason to quit temporarily. The actual gquitting occurred because it was, at the time, my opinion that being in the guild was causing the upsetting circumstances.

As was said in a later post, my gem choices on my pants were to obtain the socket bonus of +8 agility. About my belt buckle, I was waiting until I could complete today's JC daily to buy a Dragon's Eye (to cut into pure agility) and I apologize for not mentioning this intended change in my post. For survival hunters, stacking pure agility is indeed the greatest DPS increase and I've spent a lot of gold testing the difference between pure agility and a mixture of armor pen and agility, armor pen and crit, armor pen and attack power, as well as all those combinations with attack power instead of armor pen on boss dummies and in pug raids. I also use spreadsheets regularly to test the theoretical DPS output that these would result in and have determined agility is the way to go.
I had hoped to not make the impression I was simply mentioning so-and-so because we're buddies IRL as the best reflection of my merit. I truly apologize to both Triplekiss and Chickenszs as well because I was honestly unaware of the responsibility placed on anyone who is to "sponsor" me in the guild. I had only expected that sponsorship was to mean "vouch for," as I stated, and not require anyone with any "real pull" in the guild, only someone that could say "this player is or is not Tempest quality." I am truly sorry for not first asking exactly what repercussions would be placed upon my answer to that specific question and recognize (now) that I should have asked one of you (by you I mean anyone who would reply to this post) what you were looking for in the term "sponsor."
I only server transferred because (a) I had an opportunity to raid with one of the top ranked raiding guilds on the server and (b) I had one character to transfer, my boyfriend had 4-5 characters. This game is, in fact, a game and I play primarily to enjoy the aspects of the game I love the most with people I enjoy being around. This means if I had to choose to stay guildless on Bleeding Hollow and twiddle my thumbs (as I'll admit I was not Tempest caliber by any means then) or server transfer with the opportunity to join one of the most accomplished endgame raiding guilds on that server, I would (logically) choose the latter of the options. The aspect I enjoy the most out of this game is hardcore endgame raiding (I apologize for any misinterpretation of my answer to that question). I had spoken with the guild leaders that I would be applying to about my class, my performance, attitude, etc. and they offered an initiate spot in raids. I had done my research on the guild in question (Brood of Reckoning) and they ranked on that server 2nd to one other Horde guild (the 1st Horde guild had actually broken up and, at that time, faction transfers were not available). So to clarify, I did not transfer because of my boyfriend, I transferred primarily for the opportunity to continue with the two aspects of this game that I truly enjoy: Playing with people I respect and enjoy playing with, and clearing challenging endgame content with those people.

I have continued to stay survival because of the raid utility that we have needed for the past few weeks while researching a perfect MM spec for me, as well as trying them out in pug raids. My MM dps is much higher, of course, even gemmed and enchanted with pure agility, and requested to be allowed to spec MM during raids unless the mana regen. was a problem, in which I would switch to survival to help with that. I am much more comfortable with the survival spec and have trained and perfected the rotation for many many many hours and raids. However, I am comparably proficient as MM and, if asked/needed, would gladly respec as well as take the same amount of time (or more, if needed) to perfect that rotation as well. In fact, I have already begun this task and should be all set to go soon enough.
I am aware I'm way over hit cap and did mention that I am currently assembling a greatness card. I have attempted running H FoS every day and have been very unlucky, as the trinket dropped when I was tanking on my alt DK, but never on my hunter.

To clarify, no one yelled at me about failing trample any more than I did myself. I failed only twice, not in a row, due to problems that I have already remedied and are no longer problems. I have not had any trouble in the past because of this mechanic and do not foresee any problems in the future. This is a null point that should not have been brought up in the first place.
I do not complain or question raiding in a guild because I have learned that, in an established endgame raiding guild, raids are run a certain way for a reason, and that reason is often because it works for that guild. I do not question officers or raid leaders by any means because it is never my place to do so.
I did not question or complain about the raiding, I made it clear that screaming at each other in vent for completely separate reasons was, for me, counterproductive at successfully concentrating on what was happening. We had a very skeleton raiding group that contained many of our casual players or initiates that were making small mistakes we had already remedied in past progression raid times. That was most likely the major cause of the tense and negative morale, which caused the screaming and yelling. This happened previously on a regular basis when the guild was new and was a contribution to not downing Sarth +3, or other comparable progression content.
I have performed under pressurized situations such as this as if no pressure has been applied. For example, recent progression through ICC25 in which we were consistently wiping on the final boss and I consistently did my job (laying down frost traps, MDing adds to the boomkin, and kiting without getting hit, as well as keeping my very burst-unfriendly DPS up) without complaint or screw-up. I cite only one example because I do not want to bore you with more, but my intention in this citation is to thwart any incorrect first impressions that the example mentioned by Dudefish may have implied. I am disappointed that it was mentioned as it is comparable to, lets say, a statistics problem in which one piece of data in a sample size of 1,000,000 is completely unlike any other piece of data, but still does not throw off the mean/average. I only use the analogy because I cannot think of any other way to put it.
Dudefish wrote:

I want to make it clear that I do take the time every day to inspect myself individually, read posts, learn things on my own and try them in raid. I also want to make it clear that I have, in fact, taken this up on numerous occasions with the officers of Usual Suspects and have received the same reply, that they do not know enough about hunters to really truly help me. So eventually I stopped asking. About Shoopdawhoop, he has taken a hiatus for an unknown time and I cannot count on him being back any time soon, especially not to bounce ideas off about DPS since he's been gone for so long.

I agree dmoney, and apologize for making it seem like I wanted to join Tempest so I could leech off you to be dragged up and be better than I used to be, but still dragged around by the rest of the raid and essentially become detrimental to performance. That was not my intention. I want to come to Tempest to be surrounded by raiders who are just as driven and motivated as I am to better themselves, and are interested only at being the best. Although my current guild has leadership that is this driven, I felt the opportunity to be with a guild that every one of its members work their asses off to find out how to be not just better, but the best, would enable my best performance to arise. I also felt that, although you are already considered the best guild on the server, I could bring a refreshing push towards being even better because of my motivation and existing skill. I completely understand if you feel Tempest has a sufficient amount of this motivation and I will respect that and move on. I believe in my heart that my addition would benefit Tempest in this and, by the looks of these replies, surprise those who currently believe my addition would be a detriment.
