RDW = Red Deck Wins

in general you're just putting together all of your lightning bolts and other similar cards

Well I Knew it was Red Deck Wins. Just barely know the terminology for a lot of the deck types. Barely knew what Bant control was.

Going to try my humans at FNM. In before I get rolled :<

Humans are actually pretty decent. Champion of the Parish is sweet. G/w humans and U/w humans are both great comps.

Running g/w with some Mikaeus and Gavony Townships to pump counters and Mentor of the Meek to hopefully accelerate into some more cards. Few other tricks up my sleeve though.

I found a bullshit deck I have (bullshit in that it's paper with cards in sleeves, and has no real cards), and I drew Swords to Plowshares, and in the part where the description would be, it just says LOL.

I don't recall why it says that.

So I'm breaking back into Magic with a Goblin deck.

I noticed I had a whole lot of them and never rolled one.

Sooooooooo many fucking choices (a good and a bad thing). I want to roll a straight red deck, heavily focused on large amounts of goblins on the field bumrushing my opponent, with a few choice ways of expending them.

2x Krenko, Mob Boss
2x Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician
2x Lightning Crafter
3x Mogg Sentry
2x Goblin Warchief
2x Goblin Chieftain
4x Goblin Arsonist
3x Goblin Matron
2x Goblin Ringleader
2x Goblin Wardriver

24 creatures

3x Tarfire
4x Krenko's Command
4x Goblin Grenade
2x Boggart Shenanigans
3x Coat of Arms

16 other

20x Mountain

I'm thinking of replacing Tarfire with a higher damaging burn, but it's low cost and search-ability is pretty appealing. But that and the Goblin Grenades should cover just about any creature removal I require and provide avenues of brainless/clinch direct damage. One thing I've learned from Meowth, searchability and extra drawing is an excellent thing, hence the Matrons and Ringleaders. Was pondering Rummaging Goblin. Going through an extra card every turn would be nice, but the discard kills the mood enough that I don't think it's worth the cost and the tiny stats.

Are there some good cards (preferably not stupid overpowered or overpriced) that I can use to search out mountains? If so, I wonder if I could reduce the number of lands I have - thus reducing my chance of over drawing them. Maybe I can just shave a few off and increase duplicates of what I have. I'm pondering putting in some Hellion Crucible in place of some mountains, as kind of a safeguard against overdrawing lands. Oh shit, I got 6 mountains and no creatures, fortunately I stacked this Crucible so I at least have something to slow the steamroller down for me.

Throw your vastly superior gathering skills at me.

Oh, also, MTG Familiar is an app I stumbled across that's four kinds of amazing.

Coat of Arms seems good, but don't you think it might be a tad slow? Maybe 2 instead of 3? I'd cringe at the the thought of having 2 or more in a hand during turn 3 or 4.

Also, Goblin Guide

i love when other players run Goblin Guides as it can help me speed up my deck :)

and yeah, the Coat of Arms is quite slow, but running it with llanowar elves or copper myr (or any myr), can help you get your mana base up very quickly, while also increasing your creature count. i used forest cards as they could be combo'd with Coat of Arms, muscle burst, giant growth, etc for most-best times
