So you're going to ignore the fact that it's been discussed on the television, in great detail, for the last forty-something days? You're going to pretend that the news, presidential press conferences, blogs, websites and newspapers (which I've linked to you) all have shown these images... and you're going to harp on and on about there not being any shadows? Guess what - Pictures don't come out well when they're taken in the pitch black and during the day time, there aren't a lot of clouds and storms - it's the god damn Gulf of Mexico. "Establishing the mood?" I'll be sure to schedule my funeral on a rainy day then.
I forget who it was but they more or less said it best - you will use whatever you can, by opinion, to gain an edge in an argument to the point where the person you're arguing with simply gives up because you're so fucking dense. When presented with links, screen shots and pictures, you discredit everything... especially the pictures, because they came from a blog? How about this, slick - Your irrelevant numbers (which you have yet explained - probably because you can't and you're just pulling shit out your ass) were pulled from Wikipedia. I guess that automatically dismisses your argument because it's a Wiki? Is that how we have to play? It doesn't matter that I linked things BIG news websites like this to you:
Mind you, these websites have been blasting headlines like this for the last couple weeks. This isn't new. BP isn't doing a good job keeping anything a secret - even in their infinite wealth and far reaching power and influence. They haven't kept it off the TV, Radio or Web.

Most Americans are far too stupid to notice that there are very few pictures of the most dramatic damage of the disaster the way there was during the Valdez disaster. We don't see birds suffocating or miles of corrupted beaches or businesses shuttered or angry Southerners milling about. We see some "closed" signs and birds being cleaned off and the occasional slick - very inoffensive stuff. BP has learned greatly from the PR of the Valdez disaster and how shock images influenced the public.
Bold statement but we have seen birds suffocating, corrupted beaches, empty vacation hot-spots and images from space which show the extent of the damage. I've showed you the pictures, links, etc. BP is in damage control mode for both PR and clean-up, but they really don't have the power you think they have to manipulate the masses... and if they do, you need to prove it.
This CBS poll (from last week, I think) shows people think BP is doing a phenomenal job.
So much for their almighty influence.
