How do YOU personally define who or what God is? How do you define the 'act of Creation'?
Do you believe that creation and evolution are mutually exclusive? Can one only exist if the other does not?
Personally, I define God as love for your fellow man and meaningful interpersonal relationships, reverence for the world we live in and a desire to leave it better than it was when you arrived. In the 6000 page sleeping pill we know as 'the Bible' it describes God as the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
If the Universe has always existed, then it always will exist, by definition of what the Universe is.
I do not buy into the belief that He (he? lol) is a superhuman Genie-like being sitting on a throne in the clouds zapping sinners with lightning bolts and tractor beaming good people up to some fabled afterlife.
As far as the act of Creation,
something created existence. Whether that something was the Big Bang, random probability or Super Jesus Man 5000 remains to be seen. My belief is such that based on my definition of God, I attribute existence to the Big Bang and random probability over the course of vast amounts of time..which is where evolution comes into play. We as humans did not go from single celled organisms to skyscrapers in a thousand years, ten thousand years or even ten million years. Since the universe's existence is infinite, this leaves infinite chances for life to come to be.
That is as close as I would come to defining our Creation.

yeah you guys can go see majestic vistas and thank the complete accident that it was for the beauty that it is.
So yes, I do believe the Earth, Life and the Universe can be accidents. Are you implying that because some facet of our Existence has beauty to it that is fully intentional?
